When Arthur Miranda fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Club Nike's protests and gave Arthur Miranda a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sport Club Nike getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. In the 43rd minute, Sport Club Nike's Zdzislaw Domaracki dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Diogo Morais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The wind increased when Ronaldo Perdigão made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arthur Miranda in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diogo Morais prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lourenço Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 94th minute of the match Afonso Madeira completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Afonso Madeira a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
