After 25 played minutes Bodiosa got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Paiva. Adolfo Guerreiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Bezanas FC's Éder Candeias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Bezanas FC from getting a goal against them. Bezanas FC were furious when Joaquim Guerra was red carded, 85 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Bezanas FC:s Éder Candeias showed great skill when he stopped Jorge Assunção:s penalty. Mauro Pegado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cândido Teixeira having to make a save. Éder Candeias made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Marco Ferro sent off a good shot on target. When Adolfo Guerreiro came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Bodiosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Guerreiro couldn't finish the play. Marco Ferro might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Éder Candeias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Ferro ran back to his position shaking his head. Bodiosa's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
