Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when António Gueifão kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Alberto Trindade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Ceira's attentive Paulo Amaro managed to snatch the ball when Micael Mendonça made a throw-in in the 4th minute of the game. In the 6th minute António Gueifão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Ceira's Filipe Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomé Lustosa in the 9th minute of play. The throw-in from Danilo Prates in the 11th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SC Ceira's Afonso Melo. Carlos Távora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Pedroso in the 15th minute of play. If Luís Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonso Melo during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th minute, Afonso Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, Luís Nascimento fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 33 minutes into the game, Delfim Onofre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. munhos fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Ceira the free kick. The supporters of SC Ceira booed when munhos fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Onofre didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, munhos fc's goalkeeper Carlos Távora had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Maia. Adalberto Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Delfim Onofre in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SC Ceira's Afonso Melo. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Nascimento was the one to do the kick off. Afonso Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Carlos Távora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 55 minutes, André Maia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Ceira and the munhos fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, SC Ceira's Filipe Dias got control of the ball when Adélio Palma tried to sneak it across the goal line. Artur Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Távora having to interfere. Luís Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th match minute, munhos fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomé Lustosa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Nascimento in the 68th minute of play forced munhos fc's goalkeeper Carlos Távora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Ceira's Afonso Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filipe Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adélio Palma in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute, munhos fc's António Gueifão dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After 85 minutes of play, SC Ceira's Afonso Melo made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Távora was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Luís Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the SC Ceira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Nascimento couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, André Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the match, Adélio Palma had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filipe Dias. SC Ceira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adélio Palma was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The SC Ceira manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing munhos fc to win.
