If Diogo Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogo Matos in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filinto Palha saved Penamaior from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Penamaior's zone, Sixto Quinteros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filinto Palha came out of the goal and Sixto Quinteros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eduardo Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Reis having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Penamaior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Faria to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute Diogo Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filinto Palha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 minutes of play, Clube de Ovar's Diogo Matos made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filinto Palha was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Matos in the 28th minute of play forced Penamaior's goalkeeper Filinto Palha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diogo Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clube de Ovar's Diogo Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sixto Quinteros in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filinto Palha saved Penamaior from getting behind. Penamaior's Filinto Palha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Matos in the 36th minute of play. If Diogo Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ricardo Viana came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Clube de Ovar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Viana couldn't finish the play. Filinto Palha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Diogo Matos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Filinto Palha, 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eduardo Sousa made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Diogo Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube de Ovar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diogo Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Clube de Ovar's Sixto Quinteros in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Penamaior's goalie prevented a goal. Penamaior's Filinto Palha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Matos in the 56th minute of play. The Clube de Ovar fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Clube de Ovar's Sixto Quinteros looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 60 played minutes Penamaior got a freekick which was hit by Tarcísio Pires. In the 62nd minute, Diogo Matos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Sixto Quinteros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filinto Palha was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Diogo Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube de Ovar's supporters rose to their feet, but Diogo Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filinto Palha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 71 minutes into the game, Diogo Matos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Filinto Palha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Diogo Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Diogo Matos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 77 minutes, Januário Igrejas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Penamaior and the Clube de Ovar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Clube de Ovar made a substitution. Augusto Maia replaced Paulo Ramos. In the 79th match minute, Penamaior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Januário Igrejas to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sixto Quinteros in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filinto Palha saved Penamaior from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Penamaior's Márcio Varanda got a free kick in the 89th minute. Filinto Palha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixto Quinteros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clube de Ovar's Cláudio Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Sousa in the 92nd minute of play. Cláudio Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Sousa in the 94th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Clube de Ovar players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
