Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Manuel Vieira got the match started through his kick off. Valentim Rangel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute Manuel Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentim Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Sarmento's late challenge caught a Alcoutim FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Sarmento helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 played minutes Reinaldos FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Sarmento. If Manuel Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alcides Espinosa in the 12th minute of the match. António Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Tomás Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Manuel Cabral put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Valentim Rangel. Alcides Espinosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Tomás Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when António Freire got free with Tomás Moreira in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 25 minutes, Alcides Espinosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reinaldos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alcides Espinosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisco Sarmento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 32 minutes, Miguel Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alcoutim FC and the Reinaldos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Alcoutim FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Miranda. António Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Moreira having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Alcoutim FC's zone, António Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Moreira came out of the goal and António Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Reinaldos FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alcoutim FC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for António Freire to strike the kick off in the second half. Valentim Rangel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Vieira in the 56th minute of play. Alcoutim FC's Manuel Vieira got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Manuel Vieira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valentim Rangel was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 66th minute Manuel Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentim Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Manuel Cabral made a precise shot to the right of Valentim Rangel. Reinaldos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The supporters of Alcoutim FC booed when Reinaldos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Valentim Rangel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When António Freire came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Reinaldos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Freire couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Manuel Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alcoutim FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentim Rangel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Vieira in the 82nd minute of play forced Reinaldos FC's goalkeeper Valentim Rangel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Valentim Rangel made a huge save. Manuel Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Valentim Rangel managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Alcoutim FC's Manuel Cabral fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Manuel Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentim Rangel having to interfere. Alcoutim FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
