Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rodrigo Assis started the match with the kick off. Edgar Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Paixão in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of CITYCAR CLUB booed when Pardinhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Avelino Varanda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 7 played minutes Teodoro Paixão rounded Pardinhas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After 11 played minutes CITYCAR CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Viegas. Filipe Braga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Assis's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Filipe Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Viana in the 16th minute of the match. Pardinhas were furious when Lucas Oliveira was red carded, 21 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pardinhas! Pardinhas:s Edgar Vargas showed great skill when he stopped Hélio Viegas:s penalty. After 24 minutes Pardinhas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hélio Viegas who took care of the corner kick. Fábio Cardoso made a great header on CITYCAR CLUB's corner, it was just that Pardinhas's Edgar Vargas managed to reach the ball for a save. Teodoro Paixão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. CITYCAR CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fábio Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amadeu Galvão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 47 minutes of play, CITYCAR CLUB's Teodoro Paixão made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgar Vargas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teodoro Paixão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tiago Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Edgar Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fábio Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the CITYCAR CLUB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Cardoso couldn't finish the play. Edgar Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Graça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Teodoro Paixão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pardinhas's Edgar Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Pedroso in the 61st minute of play. Teodoro Paixão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute of the match Márcio Castilho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgar Vargas skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, CITYCAR CLUB's Nuno Graça got a free kick in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Paixão in the 87th minute of play forced Pardinhas's goalkeeper Edgar Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Simão Prada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 97 minutes, Teodoro Paixão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CITYCAR CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Paixão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CITYCAR CLUB fully deserved thier win.
