In the 14th minute of the match, 姚铮烨 tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sandro Paiva saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Abel Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th match minute, Legua FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Costa to maneuver through the defense. After 22 minutes of play, Legua FC's Jorge Cabral made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abel Almeida was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the match, Burgães FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Cabral came free, but Abel Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Aleixo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 28 minutes of play, Legua FC's Carlos Aleixo made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abel Almeida was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Jorge Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Burgães FC's 姚铮烨 dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. After the first half Legua FC were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Aleixo to make the kick off. Tod Kirkpatrick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Sandro Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Burgães FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Aleixo came free, but Abel Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball had pretty good speed, but Abel Almeida firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 83rd minute, Carlos Aleixo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Abel Almeida. The goal made the score 1-8. 87 minutes into the match, Burgães FC's goalkeeper Abel Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Cabral. Jorge Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Abel Almeida made a huge save. In the 93rd minute, Mário Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandro Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tod Kirkpatrick in the 96th minute of play.
