Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Remus Bratu started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes SC Troviscais got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Portugal. Jarbas Silva in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fábio Gomes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matos's goalkeeper Fábio Gomes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jarbas Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Fábio Gomes made a huge save. Jarbas Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Fábio Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Matos got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Rocha. Mateus Vilarinho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fábio Gomes. Matos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Matos's goalkeeper Fábio Gomes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jarbas Silva. Fábio Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emílio Colaço in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fábio Gomes saved Matos from getting behind. In the 28th minute, Remus Bratu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Carlos Ramalho took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Fábio Gomes to make any attempt to save it. Palmiro Aguiar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remus Bratu went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute Carlos Ramalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Remus Bratu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

Remus Bratu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 57 minutes into the match, SC Troviscais's goalkeeper Palmiro Aguiar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvin Paadam. The crowd rose to their feet as Remus Bratu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Palmiro Aguiar. That made the score 1-3 in the 60 minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Remus Bratu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Troviscais the free kick. After a rather tough play, Matos's Remus Bratu got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 66 played minutes Matos got a freekick which was hit by Albertino Barros. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Alvin Paadam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matos's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvin Paadam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Palmiro Aguiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alvin Paadam hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Remus Bratu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the match, SC Troviscais's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Bratu came free, but Palmiro Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Matos's Alvin Paadam dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Palmiro Aguiar made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Alvin Paadam sent off a good shot on target. The Matos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Matos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
