Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1610, VIP seats: 140) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Heitor Saldanha started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Heitor Saldanha in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Porfírio Mesquita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Foot MS getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Álvaro Cordeiro hit a great ball. Porfírio Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Martins in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th minute Hildeberto Belo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higino Caldeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Porfírio Mesquita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heitor Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaime Fonseca hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 25 played minutes Foot MS got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Salgueiro. Higino Caldeira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvério Cordeiro in the 26th minute. Graciano Figueiras kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Higino Caldeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hildeberto Belo in the 31st minute of play. If Jaime Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heitor Saldanha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Porfírio Mesquita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of Foot MS booed when Monte dos Cardantes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Peralta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the game, Adolfo Barroso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Foot MS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monte dos Cardantes the free kick. In the 82nd match minute, Foot MS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Barroso to maneuver through the defense. If Silvério Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério Cordeiro in the 85th minute of play forced Foot MS's goalkeeper Higino Caldeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute Heitor Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Porfírio Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 87 minutes, João Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Foot MS's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Martins took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Porfírio Mesquita. Porfírio Mesquita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The Foot MS players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Monte dos Cardantes from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
