In the 8th minute Gregório Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Leopoldo Tinoco could shoot a difficult shot in the 10th minute, which Isidoro Godinho however easily saved by the left post. In the 12th minute Gregório Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 minutes, António Varela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Futebol Clube NuCkee and the Contumil players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 14 played minutes Futebol Clube NuCkee got a freekick which was hit by António Varela. In the 18th minute, Gregório Albuquerque left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Futebol Clube NuCkee fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Futebol Clube NuCkee's Isidoro Godinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Gueifão in the 30th minute of play. Isidoro Godinho was a little too slow when Eusébio Gueifão got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-1. Contumil's Alfredo Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Quinaz in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Leopoldo Tinoco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isidoro Godinho. Futebol Clube NuCkee's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leopoldo Tinoco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Eusébio Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoro Godinho having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When Eusébio Gueifão came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Contumil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Gueifão couldn't finish the play. After 62 minutes of play, Futebol Clube NuCkee's Normando Lobo made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Moura was left in no man's land by his defense there! Normando Lobo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Alfredo Moura made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Tinoco in the 70th minute of play forced Futebol Clube NuCkee's goalkeeper Isidoro Godinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Danilo Quinaz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Alfredo Moura was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute of the match Mário Veiga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isidoro Godinho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Contumil's goalkeeper Alfredo Moura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Normando Lobo. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Valdemar Freire took a quick shot and it went in 3-4 without a chance for Alfredo Moura to make any attempt to save it. Eusébio Gueifão struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Isidoro Godinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Contumil. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
