Vítor Garcia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Miguel Nascimento came out and tried to block the shot, but Vítor Garcia slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. In the 18th minute of the match, Jorge Barros tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Miguel Nascimento saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Miguel Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Barros in the 23rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Guarda during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Sernelha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Guarda to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Setúbal hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Miguel Nascimento successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sernelha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Jorge Barros scored to the left of an out of position Miguel Nascimento, making the score, 2-1. Miguel Nascimento was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Jorge Barros capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jorge Barros really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodrigo Setúbal made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Pigeiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Machado. 61 minutes into the game, Jorge Barros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Miguel Nascimento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 64 minutes into the match, Jorge Barros notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Sernelha's Miguel Nascimento. Miguel Nascimento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 68th minute, Jorge Barros made a precise shot to the right of Miguel Nascimento. Sernelha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. Sernelha made a substitution. Vítor Macedo replaced Tomás Luz. Miguel Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Barros in the 75th minute of play. Miguel Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gonçalo Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Alberto Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Paulo Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes Sernelha got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Macedo. The audience was convinced that González Elicegui's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Nascimento was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Vítor Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Alberto Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pigeiros FC fully deserved thier win.
