FC Dragons were furious when António Borges was red carded, 13 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 12 minutes into the game, one of FC Dragons:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Tiago Marques, was totally fooled by Muripi Bebé FC's Claudemiro Domingues, who 15 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Sebastião Gueifão managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Dragons's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastião Gueifão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeu Vilalobos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sebastião Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Vilalobos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Gueifão in the 25th minute of play forced Muripi Bebé FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Vilalobos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th match minute, Muripi Bebé FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Camacho to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Sebastião Gueifão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amadeu Vilalobos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Amadeu Vilalobos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Amaro's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Sebastião Gueifão struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Amadeu Vilalobos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dragons. In the 34th minute Sebastião Gueifão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Vilalobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastião Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Amaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Sebastião Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, David Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Dragons's supporters rose to their feet, but David Ferreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeu Vilalobos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute, Sebastião Gueifão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

FC Dragons's Diamantino Gonçalves was substituted for Luís Neto. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sebastião Gueifão to strike the kick off in the second half. Amadeu Vilalobos came out of the goal and Sebastião Gueifão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 80 played minutes Muripi Bebé FC got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Flores. After some careless play in the Muripi Bebé FC defense, Sebastião Gueifão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeu Vilalobos. The Muripi Bebé FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeu Vilalobos should have stopped the shot. 83 minutes into the match, FC Dragons's Sebastião Gueifão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amadeu Vilalobos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sebastião Gueifão's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Amadeu Vilalobos firmly grabbed it by the left post. Amadeu Vilalobos made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when David Ferreira sent off a good shot on target. Sebastião Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Amadeu Vilalobos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Sebastião Gueifão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Dragons's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
