Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Pedro Gama started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ricardo Vilalobos's late challenge caught a Espirra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Vilalobos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 2nd minute, Ricardo Vilalobos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hélder Frois walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After having played for 19 minutes, Pedro Gama managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barbeitos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Gama was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th match minute, Espirra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvério Infante to maneuver through the defense. When Barbeitos's Pedro Gama in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Espirra's goalie prevented a goal. Silvério Infante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonel Carvalhal struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Armindo Onofre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espirra. A collision led to Barbeitos getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Israel Machado hit a great ball. Ivan Viveiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicolau Paião's late challenge caught a Espirra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolau Paião helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Barbeitos's Nicolau Paião got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Espirra's Hélder Frois shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 49th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Armindo Onofre but with some difficulty. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonel Carvalhal to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Espirra got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Carvalhal. Leonel Zambujal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Gama in the 60th minute of the match. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Barbeitos! Armindo Onofre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Carvalhal, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute Ivan Viveiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Onofre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Gama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Leonel Zambujal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolau Paião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Armindo Onofre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Carvalhal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Leonel Carvalhal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Gama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Zambujal having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
