F.C.VPA's Sebastião Garcia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save F.C.VPA from getting a goal against them. Cirilo Lizer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ademar Menezes having to make a save. Antero Padilha kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Ademar Menezes came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by F.C.VPA's 姚战崇. But to his dismay, 姚战崇 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 姚战崇 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Antero Padilha made the kick off in the second half. Cristóvão Ferro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ademar Menezes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. F.C.VPA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
