The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Carvalho got free with Emílio Lousada in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Francisco Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Lousada having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Salgueirais FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Paulo Carvalho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Salgueirais FC's Emílio Lousada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Salgueirais FC from getting a goal against them. After 10 minutes, Emílio Veiga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salgueirais FC and the Marmeleira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Paulo Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emílio Lousada was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Salgueirais FC's Emílio Lousada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Carvalho in the 18th minute of play. Sebastião Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paulo Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Marmeleira FC's Paulo Carvalho in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Salgueirais FC's goalie prevented a goal. Emílio Lousada didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Carvalho went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Paulo Carvalho scored 2-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emílio Lousada, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marmeleira FC's Paulo Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emílio Lousada made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Paulo Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. Paulo Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Lousada having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Marmeleira FC's Francisco Garcia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Joaquim Soveral struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Kerimhan Yanal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salgueirais FC. Nuno Faro's late challenge caught a Salgueirais FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Faro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Nuno Faro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 49th minute of the match Alexandre Barcelos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kerimhan Yanal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Carvalho was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Marmeleira FC's goalkeeper Kerimhan Yanal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastião Pimenta. In the 59thth minute of the game Paulo Carvalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salgueirais FC's Emílio Lousada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joaquim Soveral kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute of the match, Sebastião Pimenta got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kerimhan Yanal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 63rd minute, Sebastião Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Francisco Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marmeleira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Garcia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emílio Lousada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emílio Lousada came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Marmeleira FC's Paulo Carvalho. But to his dismay, Paulo Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. The Marmeleira FC fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Marmeleira FC's Paulo Carvalho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sebastião Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Tobias Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 87 minutes, Sebastião Campos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marmeleira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastião Campos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 91 minutes into the game, when Tobias Meira put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Salgueirais FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Tobias Meira hit a great ball. Paulo Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Emílio Lousada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the game, Raul Sá cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Emílio Lousada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that Marmeleira FC were the better team. Marmeleira FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
