When Duarte Moniz came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Inguias FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duarte Moniz couldn't finish the play. Luís Nogueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rogério Moura. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Nogueira ran back to his position shaking his head. Rafael Tavares lost his temper 40 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 40 minutes into the game, one of Inguias FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Miguel Reis placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After 49 played minutes Inguias FC got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Henriques. Rogério Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 57 played minutes Inguias FC got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Gonçalves. After a rather tough play, Inguias FC's Oliveira Viana got a free kick in the 72nd minute. With a little luck, Inguias FC's Rogério Moura got control of the ball when Luís Nogueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Duarte Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Inguias FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Monteiro came free, but Rogério Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite being the better team, Gouviaes failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
