In the 12th match minute, Silvadal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Poças to maneuver through the defense. Octávio Carmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Rodrigues in the 17th minute of play. Birdies's Octávio Carmo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Birdies from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute of the match, Ivan Rodrigues tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Octávio Carmo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 42nd minute Cássio Poças shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octávio Carmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

After some careless play in the Birdies defense, Cássio Poças kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Octávio Carmo. The Birdies fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Octávio Carmo should have stopped the shot. Octávio Carmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Poças in the 93rd minute of the match. Octávio Carmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cássio Poças took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Octávio Carmo. Octávio Carmo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. There was no doubt that Silvadal were the better team. Silvadal's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
