Heitor Baião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th match minute, Tagim FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Moniz to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 21 minutes, Cláudio Chagas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Nisa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cláudio Chagas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the SC Nisa defense, Lourenço Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Catarino Malheiro. The SC Nisa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Catarino Malheiro should have stopped the shot. Catarino Malheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lourenço Andrade's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Heitor Baião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the game, Lourenço Andrade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Catarino Malheiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Catarino Malheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Guerreiro in the 43rd minute of the match. Catarino Malheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lourenço Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Tagim FC's Lourenço Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The SC Nisa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tagim FC were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cláudio Chagas to make the kick off. Delfim Melo came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Nisa's Heitor Baião. But to his dismay, Heitor Baião quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio Chagas in the 60th minute of play forced Tagim FC's goalkeeper Delfim Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 played minutes Tagim FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Tavares. Delfim Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Chagas in the 62nd minute of play. Tagim FC played a much better game than SC Nisa and deserved their victory. The SC Nisa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
