Diogo Rocha might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Quadros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diogo Rocha ran back to his position shaking his head. Rui Valadares's late challenge caught a S.C. Cruzadas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rui Valadares helped the player get up and apologised. Rui Valadares hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. S.C. Cruzadas's Diogo Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Alcino Varanda got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 23rd minute, Américo Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guilherme Frois hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, A Companhia's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Rocha came free, but Ricardo Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, José Borges made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Quadros. A Companhia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Diogo Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the S.C. Cruzadas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diogo Rocha couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rui Valadares to make the kick off. A collision led to A Companhia getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Rui Valadares hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, José Borges ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Quadros was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. S.C. Cruzadas's Diogo Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Quadros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diogo Rocha in the 60th minute. If Diogo Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Borges could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Ricardo Quadros made a huge save. Diogo Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ricardo Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Rui Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Diogo Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the S.C. Cruzadas booed when A Companhia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded S.C. Cruzadas left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than A Companhia.
