After a defensive mix-up in CR FLAMENGO's zone, Nae Râmniceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Rebocho came out of the goal and Nae Râmniceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute, Henrique Coimbra made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Rebocho. CR FLAMENGO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If David Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saúl Eiró received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Paulo Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Leme fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 65th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Paulo Rebocho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Domingues in the 67th minute of the match. Nae Râmniceanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Rebocho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. When Adelino Oliveira came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Nacional da Madeira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adelino Oliveira couldn't finish the play. In the 91stth minute of the game Nae Râmniceanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CR FLAMENGO's Paulo Rebocho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nae Râmniceanu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 93rd playminute. When the final whistle went the supporters of Nacional da Madeira were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant CR FLAMENGO side.
