Spectators: 6678 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Manuel Onofre started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Cerdedo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Ruas came free, but Eduardo Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Onofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Mota having to interfere. Joaquim Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Saúl Lobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 minutes of play, Cerdedo FC's Joaquim Galvão made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saúl Lobo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd match minute, Formoselos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adão Guerra to maneuver through the defense. Olavo Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Saúl Lobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Galvão took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saúl Lobo. Saúl Lobo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Joaquim Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cerdedo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Galvão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saúl Lobo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olavo Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olavo Dantas in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saúl Lobo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Humberto Ruas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd match minute, Cerdedo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angélico Carvalhais to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Onofre, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Humberto Ruas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Eduardo Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Manuel Onofre came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Formoselos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Onofre couldn't finish the play. If Olavo Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, Joaquim Galvão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cerdedo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 74th minute of the match, Manuel Onofre tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eduardo Mota saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 84 minutes into the game, Formoselos FC's Humberto Ruas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduardo Mota made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olavo Dantas in the 88th minute of play forced Formoselos FC's goalkeeper Saúl Lobo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquim Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cerdedo FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Formoselos FC for a fine match.
