A very good chance for a goal. 11 minutes into the match, SC Bicuela's goalkeeper Aristides Brandão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Calheiros. When Ursulinas FC's Hermínio Gonçalves in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jesualdo Setúbal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Ursulinas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesualdo Setúbal to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Santiago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristiano Estrada's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Pedro Calheiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Aristides Brandão came out of the goal and Pedro Calheiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hermínio Gonçalves in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aristides Brandão saved SC Bicuela from getting behind. After 43 played minutes SC Bicuela got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Câmara. Aristides Brandão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermínio Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Isac Henriques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Santiago having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isac Henriques was the one to do the kick off. Hermínio Gonçalves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aristides Brandão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermínio Gonçalves in the 63rd minute of play forced SC Bicuela's goalkeeper Aristides Brandão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermínio Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ursulinas FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
