FC Sanjoanense's Gonçalo Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Andrade in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute, André Mascarenhas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gonçalo Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Roberto Andrade was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Marian Simion's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Bernardes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Porto Sport Club had played much better football throughout.
