Spectators: 6664 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 0) Corticada FC's Paulo Abrantes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Paulino Fagundes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, POVOA's Ingvar Bryngelsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albertino Mafra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With an all-out effort, POVOA's Albertino Mafra threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rui Pires, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Ingvar Bryngelsson took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Albertino Mafra to make any attempt to save it. 19 minutes into the game, Luís Paiva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Albertino Mafra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 25 minutes into the match, Rui Pires dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Albertino Mafra, 4-0. In the 28th match minute, Corticada FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rúben Balsemão to maneuver through the defense. Albertino Mafra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Manuel Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Abrantes in the 35th minute of the match. Ingvar Bryngelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Albertino Mafra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corticada FC's Albertino Mafra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Pires in the 40th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Corticada FC's zone, Luís Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertino Mafra came out of the goal and Luís Paiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Pires in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albertino Mafra prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rui Pires made a kick off. Luís Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertino Mafra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rui Pires went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 65th minute, Rui Pires made a precise shot to the right of Albertino Mafra. Corticada FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Rui Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severino Bandeira kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Pires in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albertino Mafra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 75 minutes into the match, Rui Pires notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Corticada FC's Albertino Mafra. Albertino Mafra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 78th minute, Edgar Pedroso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of POVOA booed when Corticada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Bandeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Diogo Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored POVOA's protests and gave Diogo Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to POVOA getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Diogo Nascimento hit a great ball. Rui Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Mafra having to interfere. Ingvar Bryngelsson struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Albertino Mafra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for POVOA. In the 92nd match minute, POVOA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Corticada FC's Paulino Fagundes got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Abrantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Manuel Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. POVOA fully deserved thier win.
