Spectators: 6641 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 0) Massorra FC's Bruno Sá started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. José Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Leão having to interfere. Tomás Leão charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Leão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tomás Leão hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. When Carlos Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Massorra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. Júlio Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Borba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Fernando Resende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vítor Borba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Leão having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Guardas's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Sá came free, but David Matias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Carlos Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Matias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Massorra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Amaral to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Porto's late challenge caught a Massorra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Porto helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Guardas's Manuel Porto got a free kick in the 29th minute. David Matias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. David Matias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Sá in the 37th minute of play forced Guardas's goalkeeper David Matias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Machado scored 1-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Júlio Leão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vítor Borba made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Borba in the 52nd minute of play forced Massorra FC's goalkeeper Júlio Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Sá blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Matias having to make a save. David Matias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guardas's José Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Matias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Sá in the 84th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Massorra FC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Bessa. André Fontes missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 89 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Júlio Leão right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Massorra FC's zone, José Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Leão came out of the goal and José Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Guardas's Albertino Leão got a free kick in the 94th minute. If Bruno Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
