After 3 minutes, Guilherme Menezes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Lavazdfeira and the Giz FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Giz FC booed when SC Lavazdfeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Menezes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giz FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Viriato Gama scored to the left of an out of position Joel Jesus, making the score, 1-0. In the 11th match minute, Giz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egídio Zarco to maneuver through the defense. When Viriato Gama came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the SC Lavazdfeira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viriato Gama couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute, Alberto Guarda reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joel Jesus. The goal made the score 2-0. If Viriato Gama had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Jesus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Zarco in the 29th minute of play. Jarbas Lemos's late challenge caught a SC Lavazdfeira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jarbas Lemos helped the player get up and apologised. Jarbas Lemos kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Guilherme Menezes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Joel Jesus made a huge save. With his leg Joel Jesus managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when SC Lavazdfeira's Alberto Guarda fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Ramalho in the 35th minute of play forced Giz FC's goalkeeper Joel Jesus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Jesus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Máximo Vilarinho in the 37th minute. Belchior Poças sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giz FC's Joel Jesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Gama in the 39th minute of play. If Máximo Vilarinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Máximo Vilarinho got free with Joel Jesus in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Gama to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Alberto Guarda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Jesus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Giz FC's zone, Xavier Zarco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Jesus came out of the goal and Xavier Zarco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guilherme Menezes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Joel Jesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 62 minutes, Laércio Ramalho made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Giz FC's Joel Jesus tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 65 minutes into the match, Xavier Zarco notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Giz FC's Joel Jesus. Joel Jesus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Xavier Zarco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Jesus having to interfere. Joel Jesus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Guarda's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. SC Lavazdfeira's Viriato Gama got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Guarda in the 75th minute of play forced Giz FC's goalkeeper Joel Jesus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusébio Falcão's late challenge caught a SC Lavazdfeira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusébio Falcão helped the player get up and apologised. Eusébio Falcão kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Xavier Zarco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Jesus was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xavier Zarco in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Jesus saved Giz FC from getting behind. If Alberto Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Giz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Zarco came free, but Joel Jesus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belchior Poças took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Jesus. Joel Jesus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SC Lavazdfeira had played much better football throughout.
