Spectators: 6864 (Terracing: 5200, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 1) Real Ilhavo's Ricardo Viana started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nuno Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 5 in the game by Ricardo Viana from a close distance when the talented Luís Antunes managed to make a qualified save. SC Azenha's players were relieved. Bento Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Melo in the 7th minute of the match. When Raul Mota fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Ilhavo's protests and gave Raul Mota a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Real Ilhavo getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Raul Mota hit a great ball. Nuno Antunes took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bento Gomes. Bento Gomes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Adelino Carvalho hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Ricardo Viana notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of SC Azenha's Luís Antunes. Luís Antunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alberto Trindade blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Antunes having to make a save. From close distance Ricardo Viana pressed in the 2-1 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 24 minutes into the game. After 27 minutes of play Real Ilhavo's Raul Mota was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 28 played minutes Real Ilhavo got a freekick which was hit by Raul Mota. In the 35th minute Ricardo Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Luís Antunes managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Real Ilhavo's Ricardo Viana fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bento Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nuno Antunes was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Real Ilhavo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Trindade to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 54 minutes, Fernando Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Azenha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 55 played minutes Real Ilhavo got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Ribeiro. Alberto Trindade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Luís Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bento Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Luís Antunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardo Viana's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Pedro Ribeiro hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Bento Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Antunes in the 74th minute of play. If Alain Van Clynenbreugel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Viana in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Antunes saved SC Azenha from getting behind. With a little luck, Real Ilhavo's Bento Gomes got control of the ball when Fernando Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the SC Azenha defense, Alberto Trindade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Antunes. The SC Azenha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Antunes should have stopped the shot. Nuno Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bento Gomes having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Viana in the 95th minute of play forced SC Azenha's goalkeeper Luís Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The long shot by Sérgio Miranda in the 97th minute really tested Bento Gomes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Real Ilhavo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
