Filinto Candal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 20 minutes into the game, one of SC Gomiei:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The supporters of SC Gomiei booed when SC Framilo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Paulo Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Fontes in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severiano Pessoa saved SC Framilo from getting behind. Severiano Pessoa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sidónio Raminhos in the 38th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Framilo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Gomiei the free kick. In the 38th minute, Rodolfo Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd match minute, SC Gomiei was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laureano Jordão to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Sidónio Raminhos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half SC Framilo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a defensive mix-up in SC Framilo's zone, Sidónio Raminhos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severiano Pessoa came out of the goal and Sidónio Raminhos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes into the match, SC Gomiei's goal looked a bit too open when Rubim Portela came free, but Filinto Candal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severiano Pessoa came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Gomiei's Sidónio Raminhos. But to his dismay, Sidónio Raminhos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Rubim Portela received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Filinto Candal came out and tried to block the shot, but Rubim Portela slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 65th minute. SC Framilo's Severiano Pessoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidónio Raminhos in the 69th minute of play. If Paulo Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidónio Raminhos in the 73rd minute of play forced SC Framilo's goalkeeper Severiano Pessoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Paulo Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the SC Gomiei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Fontes couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidónio Raminhos in the 76th minute of play forced SC Framilo's goalkeeper Severiano Pessoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rodolfo Neves was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 77 minutes had been played. Severiano Pessoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Fontes in the 86th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Framilo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
