Pascoal Fagundes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Abreu in the 12th minute of the match. Duarte Nunes came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by CF Belenenses's Jaime Sobral. But to his dismay, Jaime Sobral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Duarte Nunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Sobral in the 19th minute. In the 21stth minute of the game Gaspar Vaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CF Belenenses's Pascoal Fagundes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaspar Vaz in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pascoal Fagundes saved CF Belenenses from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Daniel Bessa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lever's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Bessa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pascoal Fagundes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Nicolau Junqueira fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CF Belenenses's protests and gave Nicolau Junqueira a yellow card for diving instead. Nicolau Junqueira hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaspar Vaz in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pascoal Fagundes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute, CF Belenenses's Tomás Mansilha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 37th minute, Diogo Abreu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lever fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 41 minutes into the match, Diogo Abreu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pascoal Fagundes. CF Belenenses's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diogo Abreu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 47 minutes of play, Lever's Gaspar Vaz made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pascoal Fagundes was left in no man's land by his defense there!

A collision led to CF Belenenses getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Jaime Sobral hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Bessa got free with Pascoal Fagundes in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaspar Vaz got in the 90th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Pascoal Fagundes handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Tomás Mansilha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Duarte Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Cruz's late challenge caught a CF Belenenses's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. José Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Pascoal Fagundes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Vaz in the 94th minute of play. In the 97th minute of the match, Gaspar Vaz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pascoal Fagundes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
