After a rather tough play, Codes's José Mota got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardo Saraiva to strike the kick off in the second half. Flávio Aragão made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Joel Andrade sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Aragão having to interfere. When the match was over Codes could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Futebol Clube Do Monte throughout the match.
