Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling António Veloso in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Viriato Jesus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jorge Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Januário Fonseca having to interfere. Inácio Assis scored 1-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Januário Fonseca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruno Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Januário Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Chellas. António Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Jesus having to interfere. A collision led to SC Chellas getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Sebastião Pereira hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Rui Caeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Viriato Jesus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Delgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Chellas's zone, António Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viriato Jesus came out of the goal and António Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Inácio Assis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Januário Fonseca made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience was convinced that António Veloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Viriato Jesus was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. If Jorge Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the game, Filipe Assis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Chellas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave WIZARDS the free kick. Viriato Jesus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Veloso in the 63rd minute of play. Januário Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Assis, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. WIZARDS 's Jorge Delgado got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 75 minutes, Inácio Assis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Chellas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Assis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Bruno Carvalho notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of WIZARDS 's Januário Fonseca. Januário Fonseca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd minute of the match Inácio Mota sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Januário Fonseca skillfully saved the ball. Inácio Assis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of WIZARDS :s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Chellas:s goal. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for SC Chellas. Gabriel Barbosa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Januário Fonseca. 3-0. If Jorge Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Januário Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
