Simply the best's Bernardo Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Duarte Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Joaquim Esteves might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristiano Anjos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Duarte Azevedo hit a great ball. Bernardo Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Anjos having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Artur Machado made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Simply the best's goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Azevedo came free, but 郝岚云 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Joaquim Esteves came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Simply the best fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Esteves couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes into the match, Joaquim Esteves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristiano Anjos.
