The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 3 minutes into the game, one of Lavadores FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 6 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Soares notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Lavadores FC's Duarte Gomes. Duarte Gomes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cláudio Guerreiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Duarte Gomes made a huge save. In the 14th minute of the match, Cláudio Guerreiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Duarte Gomes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Alexandre Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Cláudio Guerreiro took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Duarte Gomes to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Cardoso got free with Duarte Gomes in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Lavadores FC's Duarte Gomes got control of the ball when Cláudio Guerreiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Castro hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiago Vale to strike the kick off in the second half. Duarte Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Vale in the 57th minute of play. Alexandre Garcia hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Lavadores FC's Saturnino Inge got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lavadores FC's zone, Tiago Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duarte Gomes came out of the goal and Tiago Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute, Hélder Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76th match minute, Lavadores FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Garcia to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the match, Lavadores FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Cardoso came free, but Duarte Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 86 played minutes Lavadores FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Garcia. Nuno Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Vale in the 91st minute of play forced Lavadores FC's goalkeeper Duarte Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duarte Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Cardoso in the 93rd minute of the match. Duarte Gomes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cláudio Guerreiro went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Viuvas FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
