Spectators: 6682 (Terracing: 5001, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Afonso Almeida started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Nesperal FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Rijo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 5th match minute, Lagomar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílcar Leiria to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Nesperal FC's Cassiano Alvarenga tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Afonso Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Lagomar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Almeida couldn't finish the play. Afonso Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Rijo having to interfere. In the 14th minute of the match Alexandre Faro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandre Rijo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Almeida in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Rijo saved Nesperal FC from getting behind. 23 minutes into the match, Nesperal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Neto came free, but Alexandre Rijo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Afonso Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Almeida in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Rijo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute, Afonso Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Lagomar's Afonso Almeida in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nesperal FC's goalie prevented a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sabino Bulhosa to strike the kick off in the second half. Luís Macedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humberto Torres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Macedo ran back to his position shaking his head. After 55 minutes, Carlos Campos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lagomar and the Nesperal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lagomar's Carlos Campos got a free kick in the 55th minute. Sabino Bulhosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Rijo having to interfere. Alexandre Rijo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Neto in the 66th minute. The audience was convinced that Sabino Bulhosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto Torres was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Afonso Almeida struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Alexandre Rijo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lagomar. If Afonso Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Almeida's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre Rijo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Afonso Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Rijo having to interfere. Sabino Bulhosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Neto struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Alexandre Rijo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lagomar. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lagomar's goalkeeper Humberto Torres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Lagomar players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Nesperal FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
