Lúcio Guerreiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Claudemiro Torres. Cantim's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diamantino Noronha in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Abreu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paulo Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Noronha in the 21st minute of play. If Diamantino Noronha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adão Gago hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match.
