The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aquilino Pinto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Real Sporting Clube's Jorge Igrejas got a free kick in the 51st minute. Gonçalo Azenha was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Aquilino Pinto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aquilino Pinto really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Gonçalo Azenha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquilino Pinto in the 64th minute of the match. If Olavo Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Sarzeda's Olavo Gueifão got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Aquilino Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The SC Sarzeda supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Sarzeda would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
