Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Serafim Fontoura got the match started through his kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armindo Faro got free with Hermes Sardinha in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Armindo Faro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hermes Sardinha having to make a save. After 9 minutes, David Mascarenhas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Maceirinha and the Campolide players grew even worse after the yellow card. David Mascarenhas hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. If Serafim Fontoura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Campolide's Cristiano Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafim Fontoura in the 19th minute of play. Cristiano Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Ramires, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. SC Maceirinha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Paulo Veiga scored to the left of an out of position Hermes Sardinha, making the score, 1-0. In the 28thth minute of the game Armindo Faro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Maceirinha's Hermes Sardinha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Armindo Faro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Hermes Sardinha when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, SC Maceirinha's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Veiga came free, but Hermes Sardinha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 played minutes Campolide got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Veiga. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of SC Maceirinha:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Campolide:s goal. In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Campolide. Mariano Gomes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hermes Sardinha. 2-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Veiga made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Serafim Fontoura kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristiano Paiva. That made the score 2-1 in the 55 minute of play. When Mariano Gomes fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Campolide's protests and gave Mariano Gomes a yellow card for diving instead. Egídio Valentim shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Cristiano Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafim Fontoura, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Campolide's Armindo Faro got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Campolide's goal looked a bit too open when Serafim Fontoura came free, but Cristiano Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Xavier Ramires managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Maceirinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Xavier Ramires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armindo Faro in the 87th minute of play forced SC Maceirinha's goalkeeper Hermes Sardinha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armindo Faro struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Hermes Sardinha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campolide.
