After 2 played minutes Pencelo got a freekick which was hit by Gonçalo Araújo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Carneiro in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Borba saved Pencelo from getting behind. Manuel Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Borba having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Araújo in the 12th minute of play forced Teixugueira FC's goalkeeper Raul Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Pencelo were awarded a corner. Vítor Paiva went to the cornerflag to take it. Pencelo's Vítor Paiva was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Raul Dias in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Teixugueira FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Catarino Gomes hit a great ball. When Vítor Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pencelo's protests and gave Vítor Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pencelo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Brito in the 26th minute of play forced Teixugueira FC's goalkeeper Raul Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute of the match Pencelo got a corner. Teixugueira FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vítor Paiva ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 29th minute, Manuel Carneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Teixugueira FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 40th match minute, Pencelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Ferro to maneuver through the defense. Pencelo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Manuel Carneiro 41 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. Vítor Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Raul Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51stth minute of the game Manuel Carneiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pencelo's Ricardo Borba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pencelo's zone, Manuel Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Borba came out of the goal and Manuel Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardo Borba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Oliveira in the 57th minute of play. Ricardo Borba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Carneiro went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After 63 played minutes Teixugueira FC got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Oliveira. The audience was convinced that Afonso Oliveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Borba was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Manuel Carneiro scored 5-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Borba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Teixugueira FC booed when Pencelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pencelo's zone, Afonso Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Borba came out of the goal and Afonso Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the game, Manuel Carneiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Ricardo Borba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vítor Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the match, Pencelo's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Carneiro came free, but Ricardo Borba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Brito in the 84th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Afonso Oliveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Borba was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Vítor Araújo charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vítor Araújo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pencelo getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Vítor Araújo hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the Teixugueira FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
