Spectators: 7265 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 100) Claudemiro Couto started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the match, Bobal's goal looked a bit too open when Tomé Salgueiro came free, but Eduardo Viegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaspar Manso charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaspar Manso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes Baldhead United got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Manso. If Fikret Yesar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Amorim got free with Nuno Amaro in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ricardo Amorim's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nuno Amaro firmly grabbed it by the left post. 18 minutes into the game, Gaspar Manso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eduardo Viegas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Bobal booed when Baldhead United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomé Salgueiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fikret Yesar came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Bobal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fikret Yesar couldn't finish the play. Ricardo Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Amaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Bobal's Eduardo Viegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudemiro Couto in the 33rd minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, João Pinto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bobal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baldhead United the free kick. A collision led to Bobal getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. João Pinto hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Caetano Brito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Baldhead United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After the first half Baldhead United were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Amorim to make the kick off. If Fikret Yesar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fikret Yesar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Amaro having to interfere. Nuno Amaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. When João Pinto was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 84 minutes had been played. In the 84th minute, João Pinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 89 played minutes Baldhead United got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Salgueiro. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bobal had played much better football throughout.
