But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerrit de Zeeuw couldn't finish the play.

If Gerrit de Zeeuw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The corner ended in Altino Andrade almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but flores futebol clube's Carlos Regueira did a great save. In the 94th match minute, flores futebol clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Valboense FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than flores futebol clube throughout the match.
