To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 18 minutes, Lúcio Ferreira made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Caveira's Jorge Travassos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 22 minutes, Juvenal Caiado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caveira and the Queridas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96thth minute of the game Lúcio Ferreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caveira's Jorge Travassos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
