In the 30th minute, Egídio Lisboa made a precise shot to the right of Miguel Magalhães. Barreiro club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Abdel Haleem Nedal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julião Zarco. That made the score 4-1 in the 37 minute of play. Ricardo Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julião Zarco having to interfere. Julião Zarco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Baptista in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Egídio Lisboa to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Barreiro club booed when Bairro Espinhal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diogo Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Barreiro club made a substitution. Oliveira Nunes replaced Abdel Haleem Nedal. In the 82nd minute, Filipe Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th play minute Filipe Mendes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Miguel Magalhães. 5-2. 97 minutes into the match, Bairro Espinhal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oliveira Nunes came free, but Julião Zarco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
