SC Olmos's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Santiago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Palma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexandre Gentil was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Ivan Galvão capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ivan Galvão really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Galvão in the 45th minute of play forced SC Olmos's goalkeeper Alexandre Gentil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivan Galvão made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Paulo Frois had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexandre Gentil. SC Olmos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Frois was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The referee ignored SC Olmos's protests and gave Ramiro Madruga a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th minute Ivo Malta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Gentil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
