FC Javardolas's Marco Vaz got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When FC Javardolas's Victor Chuse in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laurentino Caldeira was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Victor Chuse kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sálvio Amaro. That made the score 1-1 in the 55 minute of play. Victor Chuse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Sálvio Amaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurentino Caldeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Octávio Moutinho during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, Octávio Moutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Miguel Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in REAL MADRID fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! Joaquim Andrade shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 97th match minute, REAL MADRID was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilário Vilela to maneuver through the defense. FC Javardolas's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
