Gil Vicente F.C.'s Filipe Setúbal quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filipe Setúbal got free with Pascoal Galvão in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 26 minutes of play, Gil Vicente F.C.'s Tytus Rybak made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pascoal Galvão was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Teófilo Valente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Martins was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. In the 31st minute, Sputnik HGFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Filipe Setúbal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teófilo Valente stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 59 minutes of play, Gil Vicente F.C.'s Francisco Pires made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 74th minute Tytus Rybak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascoal Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pascoal Galvão came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Gil Vicente F.C.'s Tytus Rybak. But to his dismay, Tytus Rybak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Miguel Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teófilo Valente in the 79th minute of the match. Gil Vicente F.C.'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
