The audience was convinced that Hildeberto Vasconcelos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandro Oliveira was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. The ball had pretty good speed, but Idalécio Paredes firmly grabbed it by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Hildeberto Vasconcelos made the kick off in the second half. Cristiano Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 61 played minutes Bonitos got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Barbosa. When Cristiano Cabral came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Bonitos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Cabral couldn't finish the play. Alfredo Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Idalécio Paredes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raul Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Hildeberto Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Hildeberto Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arneiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Hildeberto Vasconcelos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandro Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexandre Moreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Sandro Oliveira made a huge save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
