If Sebastião Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastião Leiria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliveira Correia having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Caneiro's zone, Sebastião Leiria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oliveira Correia came out of the goal and Sebastião Leiria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oliveira Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Leiria in the 22nd minute of the match. SC Caneiro's Oliveira Correia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save SC Caneiro from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Sebastião Leiria sped through SC Caneiro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oliveira Correia. Paulo Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Sebastião Leiria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oliveira Correia was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Hélder Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cláudio Machado charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cláudio Machado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cláudio Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Cláudio Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastião Leiria scored 2-0 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oliveira Correia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Hélder Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paulo Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th match minute, SC Caneiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Pereira to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélder Coelho in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oliveira Correia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oliveira Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastião Leiria, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. If Sebastião Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 83rd minute of the match Cláudio Machado completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cláudio Machado a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, SC Caneiro's Cláudio Machado got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 92nd match minute, SC Caneiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. SC Almada's Hélder Coelho got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SC Caneiro's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
