André Caetano might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Ramos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horses FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Caetano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Chagas, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Gonçalo Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Horses FC's Wilson Fontoura nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gonçalo Barros's late challenge caught a Horses FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonçalo Barros helped the player get up and apologised. LILICO TEMA's Daniel Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Chagas in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute André Caetano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Gonçalo Barros made the kick off in the second half.
