Humberto Viegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gastão Brandão having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Hugo Gusmão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Mendes was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Gonçalves during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After the first half Nelux FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Filipe Borges made the kick off in the second half. Hugo Gusmão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Mendes having to interfere. Silvano Salvado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Augusto Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nelux FC's Hugo Gusmão in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mouraz's goalie prevented a goal. When Filipe Borges came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Mouraz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Borges couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the game, Hugo Gusmão recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Augusto Mendes. Hugo Gusmão showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. After having played for 69 minutes, Silvano Salvado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nelux FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvano Salvado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvano Salvado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Augusto Mendes made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Nelux FC's zone, André Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gastão Brandão came out of the goal and André Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Amadeu Eiró had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Gusmão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Mendes having to interfere. Nelux FC played a much better game than Mouraz and deserved their victory. The Mouraz players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
