Simão Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Cristiano Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Academia Lusitana's Jorge Amado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Titas Tarailis in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Simão Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Simão Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia Lusitana's supporters rose to their feet, but Simão Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The referee showed Adolfo Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sporting Clube de Laborim were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Academia Lusitana for a fine match.
